Akron firefighters were called to the aid of three young boys who found themselves in trouble while trying to help a turtle this week.
The boys, all under the age of 12, found a turtle, on Tuesday, that they thought needed some assistance getting back near water.
Reports say the trio made their way down a steep hillside near a West Waterford Court apartment complex and placed the turtle near the edge of a Cuyahoga River tributary.
Two of the boys were able to make it back up the hillside but the third struggled and the Akron Fire Department's Technical Rescue Operations Team was called in to assist.
The boy was brought up the hillside to safety with no injuries reported.
