Jasper only weighs 25 pounds so he’s not going to take up much room - and he’s full grown! You may want to read up on Beagle traits - 98% of their behaviors are pure joy!
Life can be difficult, and very unfair, for domestic pets 😔. The shelter offers no life for orphaned dogs. Pets residing in a shelter are there through no fault of their own. After all, at some point, all dogs once resided in the home of an owner.
Jasper started his young life in a shelter but was then rescued by his owner. Sadly, he has recently become orphaned, again. Jasper was found in a crate, where he had been for 4 days because his pet parent had suddenly passed away without warning. Upon a wellness check at the home, it was determined Jasper is healthy but he needed to be transferred to a Veterinarian for hydration and nutrition, immediately.
Like humans experiencing a traumatic loss, dogs mourn the loss of their beloved owners. Jasper is in this phase showing a need to feel loved and be touched. His security is gone and we can’t explain to him what has happened. We remain hopeful that there is a Beagle lover out there who wants to give Jasper what he has lost and provide for him for the rest of his days - no more shelters. Jasper is housebroken and dog social so these are two big pluses. This boy is ready to go home. Can he go with you?
