It’s not easy being green…especially when you’re a newborn golden retriever.
A six-week-old pup named Shamrock has captured the hearts of online onlookers after a photo was snapped last month in Pensacola, Florida of little Shamrock sporting lime-green fur. “We rubbed her, and the green just didn’t come off,” said pup owner Carole DeBruler, adding that the crazy color is a result of the mom having some bile in her womb.
Though Shamrock is the runt of the litter, DeBruler, who raises dogs at Golden Treasures Kennel, calls her a feisty little girl who spends her days wrestling and snuggling with her siblings. Though her green fur has faded, Shamrock has amassed 6.8 million fans on TikTok.
